Be Your Own Life Coach – 5 Questions for Personal Growth

February 11, 2020

Being yourself and following your own dreams is worth much more than depending on external support. Once independent, no one can take away your drive and single-minded goal and the consequent satisfaction that comes with it.

The meaning that is attached to your key life experiences decides the quality of your well-being. Similarly, if you rework the meaning attached to these events, your experience would gain a fresher insight altogether becomes a new experience. All of you can take full charge of these meanings right away and be in control of your life.

You can actually become your own life coach by motivating yourself. For that here are five personal growth questions that you need to address first-

What is the purpose of my life?

Asking this question to yourself is the foremost step in the process. If you feel uncertain in answering this question, take yourself to the future to see where do you wish to be in years ahead.

Visualize what contribution would you make towards yourself, your family, friends, community and society. Slowly, set short term targets to move towards that aim that you thought of.

What are my values?

Possessing a certain set of values and practicing entirely different values in your daily life makes your life confusing and unfulfilled. Most people give the least importance to these values. You might not come to realize but many follow exactly opposite values than what they profess. This state of duality must be questioned, given a rethought and according to which your actions should be redefined.

What are my goals?

Before you think of how to go about a certain task, you got to know what you’re working towards! Most of your greatest achievements in life require quantities of hard work, commitment and dedication. Before you put in these efforts to achieve a certain target, make sure you understand what you really want in life. Else, either you’re likely to give up in between or be working for the wrong goals. Set your priority right and be motivated towards the same.

Am I prepared to change?

A large amount of personal growth and commitment is required to achieve a certain goal. Resistance to change and adapting to it is a great challenge, which when dealt with wisely, could move you towards self-progress and satisfaction.

What do I like about myself and my life?

Self-coaching is perhaps the best form of improvement which has the potential to enhance your life with positive vibrations and while you go through changes, make sure to inculcate the things that your heart tells you to!

This is one sure way to ensure how to bring your life on the desired track.
